If you don't have a Google Cloud server, you can use Stape.io, which offers the first 10,000 requests for free. After that, you'll need to select a plan that suits your needs.
To initiate the server-side setup with stape.io, start by creating a server container in Google Tag Manager (GTM).
Open your Google Tag Manager (GTM) account and navigate to the container you've linked with your Shopify store. Click on the three dots next to the container, then select "Create Container" from the options.
Enter a name for your server container, select "Server" from the options below, and then click the "Create" button in the top right corner.
After clicking "Create," a pop-up will appear. Select "Manually Provision tagging server," and copy this container config.
Now, log in to Stape.io and click on "Create Container."
Enter a name for the container, paste the copied container configuration script in the designated area, select your target area, and then click on "Create Container."
Your container has now been created. Scroll down within the container to copy the tagging URL, and then select "Stape Global CDN" below.
Now, go to Google Tag Manager (GTM), open your server container, and click on "Admin."
Next, click on "Container Settings."
Enter a name for the container and paste the domain name in the "Server Container URLs" section. Then, click "Save."
Now, return to the Shopify application and click on "Setup" under the server setup section.
Now click on "Select Server Container." The application will automatically detect the server you created under this Google account. Choose your server from the options below.
Next, select the tagging URL and click on "Save."
Now, go back to your GTM account and open the server container. In the workspace, click on the "Submit" button.
Enter a name for the version and click on "Publish."
Congratulation! π€©Everything for your server-side setup is now complete!π₯³
