# 🚀How to Install Browser-Side Pixel?🚀

Here is a general approach for installing Pinterest Pixel with our application:

1. First of all, **activate** our application’s extension by clicking on the activate button.

2. Now click on **Add Pinterest Pixel.**

3. Here are two options for the pixel: **Tag Manager** and **Conversion API**. The Conversion API is designed for server-side tracking, while the Pinterest Tag Manager is used for browser-side tracking. Please select the option that best suits your needs.

\&#xNAN;***As we are setting up browser side tracking select Tag Manager from the top, and follow these following steps;***

1. Please enter a **name** for the pixel.

2. Next, navigate to your **Pinterest Ads** account and click on the three horizontal lines in the top left corner.

3. From this menu, please select the "**Conversions**" option.

4. Since we are installing the browser-side pixel, please click on "**Tag Manager**."

5. Now copy this **Tag ID.**

6. In the first row, enter a **name** for the pixel, and in the second row, paste the **Tag ID**.

7. First, click the "**Copy**" button below the script, then select "**Customer Events**" next to the copy button.

8. After clicking the "**Customer Events**" button, you will be directed to this page. Here, click on the "**Add Custom Pixel**" button to proceed.

9. After clicking "**Add Custom Pixel**," a pop-up will appear where you can enter a name for the pixel and then click "**Add Pixel**" to proceed

10. Now click on the **permission** section and select according to your need. If you Select **Required** the pixel will collect data when the permission is granted. Here I‘ll select **Not required**, as it’ll collect data without the permission of the users.

11. Now, scroll down and replace the existing code with the code you copied from the application, then click the "**Save**" button at the top to apply your changes.

12. Now click on **connect** button to link custom pixel.

13. Now move back to the application and check the **box**\[I’ve done this above] below the script and **save** the pixel.
